Draw Development Engineer

Primary Objective:

Carry out all applicable tasks at an “expert level” as instructed by the Cad Manager or department leader in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain and enhance department synergy through close collaboration with fellow designers and managers.

Cad Dept. Specific Skills:

1. Prototype & Low Volume stamping tool design utilizing (Catia)

2. Validation of tool designs utilizing (Autoform Incremental)

3. Weld/Assembly Fixture design (aerospace – automotive)

4. Advanced GD&T background

5. Scan validation and reporting utilizing (Zeiss Inspect – formerly GOM)

6. Laser programming background for Trumpf Lasers utilizing (TruTops Boost – Tebis)

7. Strong communication and presentation skills

Standard responsibilities for all UHI employees

Perform work in accordance with UHI Quality System (Procedures, Work Instructions, etc).

Observe all safety rules and regulations. Follow instructions, identify hazards, and notify appropriate personnel to immediately correct the matter.

Assist and support other department functions where applicable.

Conduct operations in a cost-effective and cost-conscious manner. Assist in identifying any improvements which could lead to cost savings or a process improvement.

Perform good housekeeping in perspective work areas, to eliminate any FOD (Foreign Object Debris).
